Companion content
The book is now out - shipments are being received. Yay!
The "companion content" can be found on the MS Press site.
Enjoy!
An overdue update on the book
The book is now officially done and off to the presses! It will be available in approximately one month! (Mike Hall blogged about it recently - thanks Mike!)
Also, an excerpt from the book has been published in the .NET Developer's Journal - so be sure and check it out!
Rob and I will be at TechEd 2007. Rob is delivering a talk on the .NET Micro Framework (along with Roger Wolff, one of the lead developers on .NET MF). Hope to see you there!
Tech Days
Mike Hall is at Tech Days and is doing what he calls an "Embedded demo-palooza session".
He says "this session is not going to a typical death-by-powerpoint session that sends the audience to sleep, I only have a few slides that will be used to introduce the heroes of the session, these are the .NET MicroFramework, Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded, and Windows Embedded for Point of Service - this is a demo-filled session that will show how embedded developers can focus on the most important aspects of their device - the device experience."
Yay!

The ultimate "would be" MF project!
"Desktop Fabricator" - developed by two students at Cornell, who have also made the plans freely available.

They use an LPC-H2148 Microcontroller (ARM7TDMI-S, perfect for .NET MF).
